The Village of East Palestine is gearing up for an exciting new community tradition this fall. Village Manager Antonio Diaz-Guy has issued a challenge to residents and business owners — let’s transform East Palestine into “Halloweentown”!

The goal is to create a festive, family-friendly atmosphere that celebrates the beauty of autumn and the fun of Halloween. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their homes, yards and storefronts with pumpkins, lights, scarecrows and all things spooky and creative. Imagine entire streets glowing with fall color, perfect for evening walks, family photos and visits from out-of-town guests.
“We want East Palestine to become a destination this season,” Diaz-Guy said. “If we start early, our whole community can shine as a Halloween wonderland.”
The project is more than just fun decorations – it’s about building community spirit and giving families a reason to explore and celebrate together. For some added fun, we will hold a community contest. (See details below). Residents are also invited to share their decorating plans on social media using the hashtag #EastPalestineHalloweentown to showcase your creativity and inspire others.
So grab your pumpkins, string up some lights and dust off those spooky decorations. Let’s get started and show everyone just how magical fall in East Palestine can be!
