On Monday, August 26, the East Palestine Village Council convened at the regular council public meeting where guest speaker Wendy Berrill, Project Manager; Aimee St. Germain, Lead Architect; and Brian Bake, Lead Civil Engineer from Michael Baker International presented the final pool plan designs. Approval of this design allows the bidding process to begin to select the building contractor for Phase 2 of the East Palestine Park project. The aquatic center is currently scheduled to open for the 2025 summer season.
There have been no major changes to the design presented last June, just tweaks and added design details. The speakers walked the attendees through a PowerPoint presentation to review blueprints and renderings showing the pool house, pool and play pad, the pool deck, as well as the fencing, landscaping, trench drains, and utility connections.
